Summary

Michael "RJ" Rushmore is a seventeen year old young man living and working in London. He is the founder of Vandalog, a blog highly respected and widely known throughout the contemporary art world. While taking a gap year before heading to university, he has taken on the task of curating his first exhibition called "The Thousands." to accompany the show RJ has written "The Thousands: Painting Outside, Breaking In." the book features original work by some of the top names in street art including Faile, Banksy, KAWS, Shepard Fairey, Swoon, Herakut, Barry McGee. Many of the works have come from private collections, but several pieces have been provided directly by the artists' participating in the show. The faith that has been placed in RJ at his young age by artists and collectors is a tremendous testament to his natural inclination toward having an eye for art. Despite his modest and level-headed opinions about his qualifications, The international art publishing house known as Drago has also placed their faith in RJ's endevour. "The Thousands" is an attempt to show the art world And The public that there are great works of art within the sphere of "street art," and that these artists deserve a place in art history. The goal of the exhibition is not to sell work, but to publicize it and Drago is right there to further that promotion.
