Metaphysics and Mystery with a Touch of Scifi and Humor March 11, 2011by
The Metaphysical Detective

Grady has struck a new cord by introducing a unique genre--a metaphysical, detective mystery, with a touch of science fiction and the macabre, throwing guttural humor and bitting satire in the mix. His humor and satire has no holds barred, attacking both believers and non believers. The main character, Detective O'Shea, is an atheist confronted with a case involving the search for the proof of God. The irony of that alone provides the basis of a good story line. Grady weaves philosophical proofs of God into the dialog. Before you know it, the reader is immersed in a story of intrigue and suspense, while absorbing the philosophy of God. The story takes a turn and the reader finds himself in the middle of a strange adventure that borders on the surreal. Within the context of a good detective mystery, the author raises questions that challenge our own beliefs and faith.
