This book inspired me in 4th grade. This book made me into a man. Legends are made, not born. My mind was opened on and educated on the themes of racism, homelessness, death, orphanism, etc. I was also fond of the book because of its ties to baseball. For years I thought of myself as maniac. Who knows, maybe I'll start running
