Summary

Behind picturesque street names like Frenchmen, Desire, and Good Children lies the fascinating folklore of New Orleans. And there exists no better guide to the local history of this famous city than John Chase. A longtime resident of New Orleans and a man obviously in love with his hometown, Chase brings wit and wisdom to his up-to-date account of the people, the places, and the quaint buildings of this exotic Creole city.
