Author Biography

Allan Bluman is Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at the South Campus of the Community College of Allegheny County, in Pennsylvania. He has taught most of the math and statistics courses on campus, as well as arithmetic fundamentals, since 1972. Professor Bluman has written several books, including Modern Math Fun Book (Cuisinaire Publishing), and some tremendously successful titles for McGraw-Hill, including Elementary Statistics: A Step-by-Step Approach (now in its Fifth edition), Pre-Algebra Demystified, Math Word Problems Demystified and Probability Demystified.
