Summary

Presenting principles, ideas, and tools for designing the best possible learning opportunities, these case studies emphasize the importance of teachers as agents of change. Based on longitudinal research conducted in teacher-training classrooms and in schools, the discussion offers practical strategies for moving away from traditional approaches in the classroom--particularly in very difficult educational settings.
